Buderim is a suburb located in Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. It sits 57 miles of Brisbane and 4 miles of Maroochydore. It overlooks the beautiful community of southern Sunshine Coast.
The suburb sits in the local government area of the Sunshine Coast Region with Buderim and Ninderry as their estate electorates.

History of Buderim
Tom Petrie along with 25 Kabi Kabi and Turrbal men settled in Buderim in 1862 to find the cedar located in Maroochy area.
They discovered forests of fine Timber in the Buderim Mountain, which they cut and transported to Brisbane. Little did they know that Buderim has huge stands of Australian Red Cedar and Beech.
The mountain is also rich with red volcanic soil, which is suited for growing all kinds of crops. There were abundance of coffee and ginger in the region, too.
In fact, these crops made Buderim a famous town in the 20th century. Burnett was even awarded for producing good quality coffee.

Buderim is rich with historical heritages, which turned into tourist attractions.
This includes the Pioneer Cottage in 5 Ballinger Crescent, the Canambie Homestead in 12 Dixon Road, the Buderim House in 10 Orme Road, and the Palmswoods- Buderim Tramway in Telco Road.
On June 1884, Bunderim Mountain Post office was opened. In 1897, the post office was renamed to Buderim.
The Buderim Ginger Factory, the largest ginger processing facility in Queensland, opened in the midst of the 20th century.
