Eudlo is small suburb in Queensland, Australia. It is a locality of the Sunshine Coast region with over 1, 128 residents on 2011.
The suburb sits 58 miles of Brisbane’s central business district with surrounding suburbs of Montville, Balmorla Ridge, Diamond Valley, Landers Shoot, Palmwoods, Chevallum, Ilkley, and Moolah Valley.
The Eudlo Creek sits south west of Eudlo.
History of Eudlo
Timbergetters and cattleman arrived in Eudlo in 1860 but the land was only opened for agricultural selection in the mid-1880.
James Steele was the first selector and he opened the North Coast Railway Line in 1891.
The opening of the railways gives so much convenience to the settlers as they can easily transport timbers, produce, fruits, and passengers from Landsborough to Yandina.
It was followed by the opening of sawmill in Eudlo, which made timber cutting the major livelihood of people in the early days.
On March 1891, the Eudlo Post Office opened.
