Pegian is a small seaside suburb located in the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, Australia and nestles 7 miles of Noosa Heads.
The town is divided between two local governments, the Shire of Noosa to the east and the Sunshine Coast Region to the west. It has over 3, 500 residents on 2011.

History of Peregian
The term Peregian is an aboriginal word for emu, the largest living bird next to Osritch.
Artillery training was prominent in the region during World War II. It was conducted on beaches including the Sunshine Beach and Peregian Beach.
As a result, residents discovered unexploded shells and ordinance in their area, which requires the assistance of police to inspect the place for safety.
